Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun biking activities at the 2nd annual Cycling Circles to be held at Chevy Commons. The event is designed to get kids out on the trail to showcase the space to the community while instilling the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.
During the event, local organizations will host free activities and offer giveaways along the trail. Families are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets to ride between the stations. There will be a limited number of bikes and helmets for toddlers and young children to use during the event. Availability will be on a first come, first served basis.
“Everyone is invited to come out for the event even if they don’t have a bike,” said the Flint River Corridor Alliance’s Vanessa Ferguson, one of the event coordinators. “We will have bikes and helmets onsite for kids to use during the event.”
Kids who bring their own bikes are encouraged to decorate them. Decorated bikes are automatically entered into the “Coolest Bike Ever” contest. Winners will be selected at the event. “We can’t wait to see the creative decorations the kids come up with this year for the event. It is so much fun seeing the decorated bikes out on the trail,” said Ferguson.
